Shen Yun Review: Philip Mann, conductor (Arkansas Symphony Orchestra)

“It’s fantastic. I think it’s very well performed. It’s evocative beautiful music. I’m very impressed with the orchestra and just the general production quality, it’s fantastic... I see so much, especially as kind of a professional, I’m looking at the choreography and the musical influences and I see it’s kind of like a melting pot in many ways of many of my own experiences with ballet and things like this, where you see some of the inspiration and the cultural influences that have gone into the decisions and making of how they have programmed the dance, and they’re kind of universal ideas and appeal. There is an athleticism and a gymnastic quality to things as well that is very impressive. I’ve just enjoyed it very much.”
